May is over and done with and as ever it’s been a busy busy month for Ross & Ross! The street food scene is properly waking up, we’re getting prepped for Father’s Day, and we’ve launched some amazing new gift boxes that you are going to love this summer, including one that is being launched today. I’ve also got you sorted with another tasty little recipe from Chef Ross so keep scrolling to see his top pudding for May!
First things first, we’re launching a brand new product today that we are BEYOND excited about. Beyond. After extensive preparations and many rounds of taste testing (there really are some truly amazing perks to working at R&R), we’d like you to meet The Homemade Curing Kit… Spicy Bacon. The second in the range following the first, bestselling bacon curing kit, this kit lets you make your own Cotswolds Chorizo, Old English and British BBQ cured bacon. Trust me, they’re all amazing. And I’m not just saying that because I have to. Check it out here!
We’ve also launched a couple of special gift boxes for summer – the BBQ Man Boxes – available in both Original and Spicy varieties. We specially designed rubs for chicken, pork and fish and combined them with some amazing Pip’s Hot Sauce to create the ultimate BBQ box, perfect for all you BBQ kings and queens out there. Summer is coming (slowly, painfully, but it’s definitely coming), and every Brit loves a barbecue so get one here!
We’ve been busy little bees with our street food in May, with events almost every weekend! We’ve been to food and drink festivals at Blenheim Palace and Witney, and we’re taking our lovely lamb baps all the way to Manchester for Grillstock this weekend. By the way, if you’re based around that area, get to Grillstock if you can. It’s the biggest BBQ and music festival in Europe, aka, the best thing ever. (You can get tickets or just make yourselves really, really hungry here).
We took our May Pop-Up to The Cask & Bottle in Leamington, and it was such a great night. Our infamous scotch egg was back by popular demand and went down just as well the second time round!
We’ve also launched our Orchard Feast – a three day Pop-Up event in the Adlestrop Orchard with a really gorgeous summery menu and even more gorgeous views. Running from Friday 24th – Sunday 26th July this year, we’re serving both lunch and dinner and with a children’s menu available, it’s set to be a really great event. Perfect for that first relaxed week of the summer holidays! Have a look at the photos below – that’s where it is and we love it.
