It was not your classic BBQing weather last weekend when we went to see the Team of Johns of Instow and Appledore – Winner of the Farm shop and Deli show Retailer of the Year, but as we all know it takes more than a bit of rain to stop the good folk of Devon venturing out. And those that did were filled with some epic BBQ all cooked in the Charcoal from our pals at Oxfordcharcoal. We set up our stand and even though the sun was no where to be seen, we were super excited to meet the locals and give them a taster of what our BBQ range has to offer.
First up was Free range spin on Chicken Thighs with the Jerk Rub mixed on the evening before.
Then to follow a Slow Cooked Shoulder of Lamb with our Moroccan Rub – Both of these were seasoned with our Epic Original BBQ Salt – which has just won 2 STARS in the Great Taste awards! Needless to say, they were both well received. You can find our delicious BBQ recipes here!
Hats off to this chap, he picked up a jar of the Smoked Chipotle BBQ Jam – He used this to dip his Scotch egg into! An astonishingly good pairing! Our BBQ products are perfect for creating new recipes and adding an extra flavor to your dish.
This is Maggie – She must have the same discerning Chef pallet as Tom Kerridge – he also has our BBQ Salts and uses them in the kitchen at the Hand and Flowers.
We had such a great time and thoroughly enjoyed chatting to the locals, they loved all of our products. Our thanks to Antony and Sue for having us and the Teams at both the Shops for “BBQing” so amazingly!
